CU's Miller earns player of week honor

BRIDGEPORT — Concord’s Joey Miller was named Monday as the Mountain East Conference’s Player of the Week in baseball. He hit .412 and slugged .941 to lead the Mountain Lions to a 4-2 week.

In addition to scoring six runs, Miller belted three homers and drove in eight. His week was highlighted by a 4-for-4, four-RBI performance with a home run in a 10-4 win over Glenville State.

For the season, Miller leads the league in home runs, RBI, slugging percentage, hits and total bases.
