Bluefield College wins at Cumberland

LEBANON, Tenn. — Janee Simmons continued her recent stellar play, scoring 19 points and pulling down eight rebounds to lead Bluefield College to a 65-60 Mid-South Conference win on Saturday at Cumberland, Tenn.

Teqa McNeal scored 14 points for the Rams, wihle Asia Wheeler added 10 points and eight boards.

Katie Smith had 25 points for Cumberland (8-12, 5-8).

Bluefield (11-10, 5-7), which outscored Cumberland 42-33 in the second half, will host Georgetown on Thursday.

Bluefield 77, Cumberland 53

LEBANON, Tenn. — Bluefield made it a clean sweep, with the Alex Lubsey providing 17 points and 16 rebounds to help the Rams to a Mid-South Conference win.

Kearsten Marion added 16 points, while Josh Nesbit had 14 and Andrew Wilson contributed 10 points and four assists.

Demario Frazier led Cumberland (12-10, 5-8) with 14 points.

Bluefield (12-8, 5-7) will host Georgetown on Thursday.
