Concord swept by Notre Dame

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio — Notre Dame canned 11 3s, which proved too much for Concord, as the Falcons defeated Concord 86-72 in Mountain East Conference play on Saturday afternoon.

Kalomo Figueroa-Jackson finished with a game-high 20 points, making five of his six 3s in the opening half when the Falcons (8-11, 6-7) were 17 for 29 from the field.

Mike Boyd led Concord with 19 points and four assists. He was 8 for 10 from the free throw line.

Paul Byrd added 18 points, and Terry Hopefully collected 10 points and 10 rebounds. Cam Shannon contributed eight points and six boards.

Concord (6-14, 3-11) will play its third game in five days on Monday at Urbana.

Notre Dame 80, Concord 71

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio — Andrea Bertrand scored 19 points and pulled down seven rebounds, but the Lady Lions dropped a nine-point decision to the Falcons.

Sissy Wagner added 18 points and four assists, while Rachel Artrip tallied 10 points for the Lions.

Sammi Webster added seven points and Jacqueline Kestner talled nine points and nine boards.

Bertrand now stands just 64 points shy of 1,000 points for her career. 0

Martha Nagbe led Notre Dame (10-7, 7-6) with a game-high 24 points.

Concord (9-9. 7-7) will visit Urbana on Monday.
