Gravely directs Lady Blues past Ohio Valley

BLUEFIELD — Bluefield High School product Shay Gravely had a game-high 23 points, along with seven assists and six rebounds to lead Bluefield State past Ohio Valley 81-68 on Thursday night at the Ned Shott Gymnasium.

Jenaya Abernathy added 16 points for Bluefield State, while Tasia Nolan had 11 points and Shae Mebane contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Ohio Valley, which fell behind 39-23 at the break, was paced by Saira House with 17 points and Meghan Miller with 12.

Bluefield State (6-9) will host Concord on Jan. 20. The Lady  Blues have won four in a row.
