Georgetown holds off Rams

BLUEFIELD — Georgetown rallied for five runs over the final three innings to defeat Bluefield College 8-6 in a 10-inning Mid-South Conference baseball game on Friday night at Bowen Field.

E.J. Murray hit two doubles and drove in four runs, including a two-run double in the top of the 10th inning to lead the Tigers past the Rams.

Zac Russell-Myers led Bluefield’s seven-hit attack with two hits, while Trevor Martin had a three-run home run. Georgetown had 12 hits.

Sean Williams struck out 10 in eight-plus innings for the Rams, with Russell-Myers taking the loss in relief.

Bluefeld (17-22, 5-13) will host Georgetown (26-14, 13-6) in a twinbill starting today at 1 p.m.
