Missing teens found in Colorado

AVON, Ind. - Two teenage boys who drove away from their Indiana homes - apparently planning to survive in the outdoors - were discovered Thursday in Colorado.

Jordan Webb, 16, and Levi David Briggs, 15, left home last Saturday, setting out for Colorado, New York or Tennessee, their families said. Webb took backpacking gear and an ample supply of clothes, and left a note suggesting the boys did not plan to return soon.

A nationwide search for the pair ended Thursday, when police in Colorado spotted the car and the boys. Family members said a tip from another teen led them to the boys' location. The teens were visiting someone Webb met during a summer camping expedition.

The boys had taken the Mercedes C350 that belongs to Webb's father, though neither has a driver's license.

Details for this story were reported by the Hendricks County Flyer in Avon, Ind.
