Princeton bank robbed at gunpoint — manhunt underway for armed suspect

PRINCETON — Another Mercer County bank has been robbed at gunpoint.

Police are searching for a man who robbed City National Bank at the East River Plaza off of Greasy Ridge Road, near Wal-Mart, around 1:35 p.m., according to police reports and Mercer County 911.

Police are currently looking for a white male suspect wearing a green, long-sleeve shirt with yellow letters caring a blue backpack and wearing a camouflaged face mask, Sgt. R.A. Maddy of the West Virginia State Police Princeton Detachment said.

K-9 units with the West Virginia State Police and Mercer County Sheriff’s Department are currently on the scene searching for the suspect.

The suspect may have fled into the woods.  More details will be published as soon as they become available.
