Emergency crews in McDowell County responded this morning after a propane truck went over an embankment in the vicinity of War Mountain.
No leaks or injuries were reported after the accident, said Senior Trooper B.D. Gillespie of the West Virginia State Police Welch detachment.
“It was a propane truck backing up to make a private delivery, and the bank gave way and it overturned,” Gillespie said. “The ambulance arrived on the scene, and the driver was not transported to the hospital.”
The War Volunteer Fire Department was also dispatched when the incident was reported at 11:38 a.m., according to a dispatcher with McDowell County 911.
“It was just a major inconvenience for the driver,” Gillespie said.
