Tractor trailer loses load, U.S. Route 52 blocked by logs

BLUEWELL — Logs that rolled off a tractor-trailer are currently blocking U.S. Route 52 between the town of Bramwell and the community of Bluewell, according to dispatchers with Mercer County 911. The incident occurred approximately 4:45 p.m.

The Bramwell and Bluewell Volunteer Fire Departments have been dispatched to the scene, a dispatcher said.

A partial blowout on one of the truck’s tires caused its load to shift and break loose, according to Deputy K.M. Saddler of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department. The driver was able to keep the vehicle from flipping. No injuries have been reported.

Alternating lanes of traffic are being allowed to move while the logs are being cleared away. Saddler did not estimate when the clean up would be completed.

More details as they become available.
