Charles “Chip” Hurst

EASLEY, S.C. — Funeral services to honor the life of Chip will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel, Liberty, S.C. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Charles Allen “Chip” Hurst, 57, died peacefully in his sleep at home on Tuesday, June 16, 2009. He has gone home to be with his mother. Chip was born October 13, 1951 in Bluefield, W.Va. He graduated from Bluefield High School in 1970 and has resided in Easley for the past 30 years.

He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Margie Williams Hurst. He is survived by the love of his life, his beloved “Rabbit,” Theresa Hurst of Easley; his adoring daughter, Angela Hurst Nalley and her husband Travis of Easley; two precious granddaughters that will miss their “Pappy,” Gianna and Emilia Nalley; his best friend and sister, Cheryl Staton and her husband Jerry of Ormond Beach, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews in West Virginia and South Carolina, as well as aunts uncles, cousins and many, many wonderful friends. He will be missed dearly by his four-legged, constant companion, Maggie.

Chip was a vibrant person who enjoyed life and all those around him. To know Chip was to love him.
