Afghanistan: Bomb kills 15, including 2 Americans

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — The U.S. military says two American service members are among the 15 dead in a car bomb attack in Kabul.

The suicide attack Thursday on a convoy also killed four foreign contractors and nine Afghan civilians.

Cmdr. Bill Speaks, a spokesman for the U.S. Defense Secretary, confirmed that two U.S. soldiers in the NATO military coalition were killed in the attack.

A Islamic militant group, Hizb-e-Islami, claimed responsibility for the early morning attack, saying it had formed a new unit to attack foreign forces.
