Deaths
• Mildred K. Thomas Boothe, 80, of Glenwood Park Road in Princeton died Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Princeton Community Hospital. Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton was in charge of arrangements.
• William S. “Hot Dog” Damewood Jr., 69, of Melrose Lane, Princeton, died Sunday evening, April 13, 2008 at Princeton Community Hospital. Memorial Funeral Directory, Athens Road in Princeton was in charge of arrangements.
• Millard V. “Bud” Evans, age 78, of Lee’s Mobile Home Park, Princeton, formerly of Crumpler, passed away Sunday, (April 13, 3008) at Princeton Community after a long illness. Widener Funeral Home Chapel, Northfork, was in charge of arrangements.
• Christopher Lee “Weedeater” Hale, 34, of 41A Amber Hills, Princeton, died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at his home after a courageous 15-month battle with cancer. Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton was in charge of arrangements.
• C.D. Lockhart, 69, of Quail Valley Estates, Princeton, died Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Princeton Community Hospital. Memorial Funeral Directory, Athens Road in Princeton was in charge of arrangements.
• Clinton Eugene Mitchem, 79, of 512 Woodland Lane, Princeton, died Monday, April 7, 2008 at his residence. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell was in charge of arrangements.
• Janice M. Morgan, 85, of GlenWood Park Retirement Village, formerly of 1405 East Main St. in Princeton, died Sunday, April 6, 2008, at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton was in charge of arrangements.
• Mary Logene Perdue, 87 of 140 Crane Place (Quail Valley), died at the home of her granddaughter on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, following a long illness. Memorial Funeral Directory, Athens Road in Princeton was in charge of arrangements.
• Pastor John Paul Powell, 80, of the Bent Mountain Road, Lerona, died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley. Memorial Funeral Directory, Athens Road in Princeton was in charge of arrangements.
• Kevin Eric Skeens, 22, of 205 Ryan Village, Princeton, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 in a Princeton hospital. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell was in charge of arrangements.
Obituary
ANNE LOUISE
FERGUSON WILLIAMS
ORLANDO, Fla. — Anne Louise Ferguson Williams was born in Mercer County, Bluefield, W.Va., September 4, 1915 and died in Orlando, Fla., April 13, 2008.
She was the daughter of Giles Dee and Ethel Mae Stinson Ferguson of Gardner, W.Va.
Anne was a graduate of Spanishburg High School and Concord University in Athens, W.Va. She taught second grade in Southern West Virginia for 17 years and in Orlando for 20 years, retiring from Mollie Ray Elementary in 1981.
She was a member of the College Park First United Methodist Church and the Central Florida Retired Teacher Association and a member of the Orlando BPOE Does.
She is survived by a son, G. Walker Williams and wife Pat; daughters, Judith Williams Riles and Bonnie Williams Ray. Surviving grandchildren are Brad L. Ray of Black Mountain, N.C., Diana Ray Wright and husband Martin of Swannanoa, N.C., Todd Dean Williams and wife Nancy of Englewood, Fla., Lee Mason Riles Jr., and wife Heather of Orlando and Michael Scott Riles of Orlando. Surviving great-grandchildren are Daniel Lee Ray, Marina Williams, Bryce Williams and Anne Louise Wright.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2008 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Fla., with visitation one hour prior to service.
